When we first wrote the contract I suggested May 30th as the settlement date merely so we would have two full months to get all the paperwork done long distance. However, as the date approached I looked at the chart for settlement that day and was rather alarmed to see Mars approaching an opposition to Pluto, and Mars also nearly in square to 7 PI 55, the February eclipse point.
The move was decided upon during that February eclipse, so the Mars aspect would mean that the situation would be activated with the aspect. "Action to be taken." However, the settlement chart would have Mars opposite Pluto in it as a permanent feature, and that can be rather destructive!!
Since the cosmos has been watching over Jamie and I throughout this process we waited, and sure enough our settlement was postponed until June 5. But, interestingly, on the evening of the 30th (the day originally scheduled for settlement) major wind storms swept through Michigan, knocking out power, uprooting trees, and causing considerable damage.
The new chart for settlement at 4 pm on June 5th had the Moon approaching an opposition to Saturn across the first and seventh house angles. The first house had late Libra on the cusp, ruled by a Taurean Venus, but Venus approaching a square to Uranus. I was less than thrilled to have the Neptune square Saturn aspect across the angles too, especially as I find the fourth house cusp in a settlement chart to be extremely important. Jamie discussed it with a few other astrologers at work, and it was advised we fool around a bit and have the completion of the paperwork no sooner than 5:23 pm so the Moon would move away from the angle and Scorpio would rise, ruled by Mars in lovely trine to Uranus.

Saturn will still transit the seventh house cusp, but it will be accidently dignified and Venus in Taurus is exalted in the permanent chart, and most powerful.
Uranus will sit on the IC, with lines of ease to both Mercury and Mars, the chart ruler.
The tenth house ruling Sun has just completed a trine to Uranus.
Looks as though we may do a bit of astrology out there.
