Robert W. Cooper was the American Federation of Astrologers, Inc., Executive Secretary from October 11, 1970 until he retired in 2007.  

Mr. Cooper was a graduate of Drexel University with a degree in mechanical engineering, and was employed by several firms in Pennsylvania and Florida.

He became interested in astrology in his Eagle Scout days, and joined the AFA in 1962. During his years is St. Peterburg, Florida, he assisted in the organization of the AFA of Florida and served as its first president. In 1976 he was made a Fellow of the AFA.

He also helped in the founding of the National Council for Geocosmic Research (NCGR) in 1971 with A. Charles Emerson.
