ROBERT DE LUCE

(From the inside flap of his book Constellation Astrology)

Robert De Luce was born in 1877, in Utah, of American parents who were engaged in mining from pioneer days, an undertaking which he himself ventured upon in his young manhood.  He was educated at various universities, and later practiced civil, electrical, and chemical engineering.  In the Southwest, he was a mining engineer by day and a student of the stars by night.

This was the foundation of his knowledge of astronomy and astrology.  Highly gifted as a mathematician, he eventually developed his own use of the equatorial arc for prognostic puposes (Complete Method of Prediction, first published in 1935).  He also formulated a new concept of Horary Astrology, a field in which he has become notably  proficient.  His penetrating analyses of the karmic and transcendental planets in answer to a given question have made him a recognized and revered authority in this field.  His book, Horary Astrology, first appeared in 1932.

Constellation Astrology is the culmination of travels to the centers of astrological culture in Europe, the Middle East, and particularly India (1936-1938), where he was priviledged to consult with the pundits of Hindu astrology, many of whom become his friends.

From these varied and extensive experiences he developed a profound conversance with esoteric philosophy, metaphysics, and the realtionship man has to the stars and the order of the universe.  He was regarded by many as a prophet of the Aquarian Age.
