BRUCE HAMERSLOUGH
(1948-1995)

From the NCGR MemberLetter, Aug-Sept, 1996:

Bruce Hamerslough, author of Forecasting Backward and Forwardand The I ching Manual, succumbed to AIDS the last week of December, He developed pneumonia in late December, 1995 and in typical Scorpio fashion, chose not to treat the infection and prolong the suffering of all involved. According to Dennis Flaherty, his friend and business partner, his spirits remained high to the end.

Bruce held a B.A. in Biology and an M.ED. in Science. He was certified as a professional astrologer in 1983, and had served as the president of both the Metropolitan Atlanta and Washington State Astrological Associations. In addition he spent four years on the board of AFAN. His numerous articles, two books, and many guest appearances on both television and radio, influenced many in the astrological community and many more through his counseling and teaching techniques. He was the co-founder of Greenlake Metaphysical Center.

Quoting from Flaherty's eulogy, "He asked you all not to grieve unduly for him. He experienced a rich life doing what he loved; being with those he loved, and living and loving every minute of it. Bruce often said you can lose your health, but never your sense of humor! He embraced this philosophy right to the end. The epitaph he chose will read: 'Having a wonderful time. Wish you were here'. We will all miss you buddy. See you next time around!"
