MORE TRIBUTES TO ROBERT JANSKY:

Bonnie (Parker) Svardal recalls Bob's passing:

"It was June, 1981, and Robert Jansky brought his friend Buz Myers up to Bakersfield with him. Robert gave a weekly Monday night class on astrology for our brand new association, the San Joaquin Astrological Association. Buz was to stay over and give readings and a lecture the following evening.

"After the lecture, I walked Robert to his new van he wanted to show me and said, "Good night Bob. See you next week." As far as I know, I may have been the last person to speak to Bob.

"The following day, Buz was getting frantic calls from Bob Jansky's staff because he had not returned home the night before as scheduled. It was Tuesday evening as we were assembling for Buz's lecture, the call came. Bob had been found at a roadside rest stop, slumped over his wheel.

"We were bereft. We had come to love the gentle man who was truly a friend to us as well as a teacher. Buz was no less heart stricken. He pulled us all together as a group, did a meditation for Bob and helped us all send Bob on to his rest and to the light with love.

"I now, at another time when Jupiter and Saturn are fairly close and when Buz is also gone, recall that event we all shared together and send Buz to join his colleague, with light and love."
