TRIBUTES TO JOYCE WEHRMAN:

Edie Custer, Writing in Mercury Hour, January, 1990:

"Most of us are aware of Joyce's astrological accomplishments during her many years of astrological practice, so I am not going to repeat them here. I would much prefer to talk about Joyce. To me she is not "dead". As long as she lives in our memories she will never be "dead".

"I remember Joyce and I at the racetrack in Tijuana, at Hollywood Park, Charlestown, W.VA, and anyplace else there was a race track and we were together! I can still hear her laugh, see her smile when we won- and the frown when we didn't. Although we were separated by almost 3,000 miles she was never very far away and that's the way I feel about it now. She was a very special person to me and although she may have left us on the physical plane she will continue to be with us just as long as we want her to be.

"I had spoken to Joyce just the week before she died and there was no hint of what was to come. However, I just read over what Joyce said in her "Transits" for October 8, the day of her death. I found it pretty interesting! ... Lunar focus on right "to do own thing", freedom, change, erratic, unusual, unpredictable, expect the unexpected." I would say she was right on the money! Her writings, teachings, book and tapes will continue to keep Joyce with us for a long time to come."

T. Pat Davis, in Mercury Hour, 7/90:

"I already miss Joyce Wehrman. Fond memories attend all our assorted get-togethers at the various conventions over the years. I looked forward to seeing her and I held her talents in respect. Her death is not only a personal loss but a loss for our profession. Her luck seemed to hold to the end. It must have been her time to go, and she slipped away quietly."
